*yawn* I’m sooooo tired blehblehbleh!

Me and Ollie went to the art market today because I needed some gesso and clay and he needed some masks for superhero class. On theway there we noticed IKEA was within wakling distance lol and walked on over. It was so cool!!! >3< We were like old people, wandering about going ‘ooh, ooohhh’ at furniture. haha, we’re such losers.

today is the double ninth festival which is is the ninth day of the ninth lunar month.
When I was young, it was  an occasion to remember the ancestors, the sacrifices they made and the hardships they underwent.and also we ate homemade glutinous rice cake in this festival.

IMO.

The concept AND celebration of Chinese Valentine’s day (Qīxī Jié festival) is so much cuter than the Western one.

It falls on the seventh day of the seventh lunar month. This year, 2011, it’s today. Saturday, August sixth.

Does this look familiar? Go watch The Karate Kid (with Jayden Smith) again! (:

In Chinese folklore, this is the one day each year that the 7th daughter (The Weaving Maid) of the Emperor of Heaven gets to meet with her otherwise forbidden love , a cow herder. More here.
